【意味】多少は交渉してみるべきだ
【ニュアンス解説】
前回に続き「交渉」に関するフレーズです。
wheel and deal とは自分の利益になるようにあれこれ交渉、駆け引きすることを指す表現です。
wheel, deal が韻を踏んでいるので、リズムよく発音します。
【例文】
1. マンションの購入
A. I'm paying full asking price.
＜提示価格ぴったり支払う予定よ。＞
B. Not too many people do that. You should wheel and deal a little.
＜そんなことする人あんまりいないよ。多少は交渉してみるべきだよ。＞

How to make a worm farm
1. Add worms to a box, cover with wetted newspaper, and let the worms settle in.
2. After some days, start putting in your kitchen waste to feed the hungry worms. Make sure to always cover the box with the damp newspaper and replace the lid.
ミミズ畑の作り方
1. 箱にミミズを入れ、十分に濡れた新聞紙で覆いミミズを落ち着かせる
2. 数日後、おなかをすかせたミミズにえさを与えるため、台所から出た廃棄物を加え始める。常に箱が濡れた新聞紙で覆われ、ふたをするようにする。

How to plant broad beans
- Soil preparation：use well-drained, relatively fertile soil. Like all beans, they will need higher amounts of phosphorus and potassium than nitrogen.
- Companion plant：potato
- Position：full sun to partial shade. Plant where you plan to grow your tomato crop next season.
- Spacing：20-30 cm
- Sow seeds directly into the patch at a depth of 2-3 times its diameter, then backfill with soil and gently press down.
- Water thoroughly after planting, then resist further watering until germination.
- Once pads start to develop, you may need to support the plants as they tend to fall over under their own weight.
Hilling up the soil around the plant stems as they grow will result in stronger plants and may reduce the need for staking.
そらまめの植え方
- 土の準備：水はけのよい、比較的肥沃な土壌であること。全豆類は窒素よりもリンとカリウムが必要。
- 一緒に植えるとよい植物：じゃがいも
- 位置：日向で一部日陰があること。次のシーズンにトマトを植える予定であるところ（トマトの生育になおよいため）
- 間隔：20-30 cm
- 種直径2、3倍の深さに直接種をまき、その後土でそっと、しっかり埋める。
- 植えつけた後水を十分に与え、発芽するまでの水やりを避ける。
- 葉や茎が成長し始めると、重量で倒れる傾向にあるので、支えがあると良い。成長してきたら茎の周りに土を盛る（増し土）と、植物は強くなり、杭で支える必要性が少なくなる。
